Its area of recognition is Mechanical Engineering, however the successive challenges that have been introduced to this center, associated with the high qualification of its human resources, have given it a prominent institutional dynamic in a set of other areas of knowledge, e.g. medical, automotive and aeronautics sectors. There is a growing importance of these areas, which complement and enrich their intervention strategy. With the demographic changes, a societal issue of extreme importance, which affects our country in particular, and with great expression in the region where we are inserted, the CDRsp is associated with the need to contribute to the promotion of active aging, through the development of new products and strategies of action in the area of additive manufacturing, in national and international partnerships.
Tondela City Council promotes the development of the city in all areas of life, such as health, education, social action and housing, environment and sanitation, land management and urbanism, transport and communications, public supply, sports and culture, consumer protection and civil protection. Areas such as health, social action, culture and sport put the Tondela County on the road to an active ageing.
