Winners of the 2nd edition of Good Practice in Active and Healthy Ageing visit the city of San Sebastian in Spain

The winners of the 2018 edition of the Good Practice in Active and Healthy Ageing Award had the opportunity to visit the city of San Sebastian in the Basque Country, Spain.

The World Health Organization considers San Sebastian an Age Friendly City, and it´s part of Reference Site on Active and Healthy Ageing, awarded in 2016 by the European Commission to the Basque Region.
During this journey, the winners of the 3 categories of this award had the opportunity to come across with several good practices concerning the active and healthy ageing of the population, meet with its players, the implementation procedures and outcomes. 
The main objective of the programmes and institutions visited is to improve the quality of life not only of the elderly, but also of the entire population of this region.
